Privacy Policy

Summary
Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to us or to any other server by PaperKit. We do not ask you to create an account. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads.
Information we process
- Your files. PDFs, images, spreadsheets, CSV and JSON files you choose are read by JavaScript running in your browser tab. They are held in your device memory while you work and are released when you close or reload the page. They are not sent over the network by our code. You can verify this in your browser developer tools (Network tab) or by switching off your connection after the page has loaded.
- Settings. Options such as page size or delimiter are remembered in your browser local storage. Only settings are stored, never file names or contents.
- Your saved signature (optional). The Sign PDF tool keeps your last signature in this browser's local storage only if you tick “Remember on this device”. It never leaves your device, and unticking the box or clearing site data deletes it.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process IP addresses, browser type and request data to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and produce aggregate traffic statistics.
Advertising and cookies
When advertising is enabled we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies, such as the DoubleClick cookie, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. These vendors may collect identifiers, IP address and browsing information according to their own privacy policies. We do not control those cookies. Ads never receive the contents of your files. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices and how to opt out of personalized ads
- Use the “Ad and cookie choices” link in the footer (shown when ads are on) to change your choice.
- Turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of many vendors’ personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before ads that use cookies or personal data are shown, through a consent management platform. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have rights to access, correct, delete and restrict processing of personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US states
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Advertising partners may collect information that some state laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out using the options above.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
