PDF and spreadsheet tools that never upload your files

Sign a contract, fill in a form, black out an account number for real, then merge, split or compress the result. Convert CSV, Excel and JSON too. Every tool runs in your browser tab, so your documents stay on your device.

Why a browser-only toolbox

Most online PDF and spreadsheet tools ask you to upload your file to their server first. That is a poor fit for leases, tax forms, payslips, medical letters and customer lists, which are exactly the documents people need to sign, fill in or redact. PaperKit works differently: the page downloads the tool once, and from then on your file is opened, changed and saved by code running inside your own browser tab. Once a tool has loaded you can even switch your connection off and it keeps working.

Open-source building blocks

The tools are built on well-known, permissively licensed libraries: pdf-lib (MIT) writes and edits PDFs, pdf.js (Apache-2.0) draws pages and reads their text, and fflate (MIT) makes ZIP files. Spreadsheet reading and writing is our own small implementation for modern .xlsx files.
